I am over 18Join the vibrant energy of Vivid Sydney on the iconic Sydney Harbour! We're seeking enthusiastic and passionate Cooks to join our catering crew for a fixed-term contract during Sydney’s most iconic winter festival of light, music, and ideas.
About the Role
Working under the guidance of our experienced Chefs, you'll help prepare and serve delicious meals onboard our vessels, contributing to unforgettable dining experiences for our Vivid guests. From premium dinner cruises to fast-paced service, you'll get exposure to a wide range of culinary styles — all while enjoying the electric energy of Vivid Sydney.
A typical day in the role may include:
Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals to SeaLink standards
Support the delivery of special dietary meals
Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards
Clean and organize workspaces and equipment
Work closely with the Chef and kitchen team to ensure timely service
Support the logistics team with food and equipment handling onboard
This role is offered as a 5-week fixed-term contract for the duration of Vivid 2025 (May 23 - June 14). Shifts will primarily take place in the evenings and on weekends, aligned with the Vivid cruise schedule.

You’re reliable, enthusiastic, and excited by the idea of working on the water during one of Sydney’s most iconic events. You understand the importance of teamwork, communication, and delivering quality meals that make every guest experience memorable. Most of all, you’re looking for an opportunity to grow, learn, and have some fun along the way.
Please note: You should have a minimum up to 2 years previous experience in the above or similar roles.
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (Desired)
